Method 1: Direct In-App Account Deletion

If you currently have the NetScope application installed on your Android device and have active access, you can trigger account sign-out and session revocation directly:

  1. Launch the NetScope app on your Android handset.
  2. Tap the Info / Settings (ⓘ) icon located in the top-right corner of the application navigation bar.
  3. Tap the Sign Out / Disconnect button ().
  4. Confirm your request. Your OAuth / password session token is invalidated immediately on your device and across Supabase authentication servers.

Method 2: Web / Email Deletion Request (Without Device Access)

In compliance with Google Play Developer Policy, you do not need to have the app installed or have active device access to request permanent deletion of your account and records.

  1. Compose an email to our official developer support inbox: amar@iiitnr.edu.in.
  2. Set the Subject Line as: [NetScope] Account & Data Deletion Request.
  3. Send the request from the email address registered with NetScope, or specify the exact Email / Google / GitHub identity associated with your account.
  4. Our engineering team will confirm your request and execute complete database purging within 7 business days. You will receive an email confirmation once completed.

What Data is Permanently Deleted

When an account deletion request is processed, the following items are permanently wiped from production systems:

  • Authentication Account: Your Supabase user identity record, email address, password hash, and OAuth authentication tokens (Google / GitHub).
  • Cloud Telemetry Records: Any cell signal metrics (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, PCI, EARFCN, network type) uploaded to the remote telemetry_records database table associated with your user_id.
  • UE Radio Events: Any radio handover, reselection, or radio link failure events synced to the remote ue_events table linked to your account.
04

Data Retention & Offline Handset Storage

NetScope operates on a strict local-first architecture:

  • Local CSV Files: Cellular telemetry logs and benchmark records saved offline in CSV format are stored solely on your device's internal storage (/Android/data/com.example.netscope/files/). NetScope does not upload or retain copies of your local CSV files on any server unless you explicitly enable cloud sync. You can delete these files anytime in the app's Log History screen or by uninstalling the application.
  • No Financial / Personal Data: NetScope does not collect payment details, credit cards, government IDs, address books, or contacts.
  • Backup Purge Window: Encrypted automated database backups are completely overwritten and purged within 30 days of deletion.
